"The Ageing Worker"
Accommodation
The Organisers have made block bookings with 3 hotels in Bournemouth, all within easy walking distance of the conference venue – the BIC.
You can book your accommodation alongside your Registration, via the on-line system.
The best time to make your accommodation booking is alongside your Registration and as early as possible, because our allocations will eventually be released back to the hotels to avoid costs to the Conference. So don’t leave it too late to book somewhere convenient!
FOR ALL ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS, CREDIT CARD DETAILS MUST BE PROVIDED, WHICH WILL BE FORWARDED ON TO THE CHOSEN HOTEL. NO DEDUCTION WILL BE MADE BY THE CONFERENCE SECRETARIAT FOR YOUR ACCOMMODATION.
ACCOMMODATION CANNOT BE INVOICED FOR
The accommodation account (less the deposit paid including any extras) is payable by you directly to the hotel on your departure. A receipt for all accommodation costs will be available from your hotel on departure.
Important Booking Guidelines:
- No booking will be made if a credit card number is not provided.
- Accommodation cannot be guaranteed after 6th May 2013 as block allocations will need to be returned to the hotels.
- The Conference Secretariat is not able to accept any requests for late bookings after 1st June 2013. At that time, we recommend that you visit: http://www.visitbournemouth.com/
- Cancellations: all accommodation alterations or cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat. Any cancellations are subject to the hotel re-selling the space.
Budget Accommodation in Bournemouth
Bournemouth offers a myriad of budget accommodation, including small, independently-owned bed and breakfast options.
There is also a conveniently located Premier Inn on Westover Road (a short walk to the BIC). Block bookings are not possible there so we have not been able to build this into our options, but the website address is: http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/BOUWES/bournemouth-central?cmp=GLBC
Guidance on discounted late bookings
The Organisers have endeavoured to obtain the best rates possible on the basis of block bookings made in advance to enable accommodation to be booked alongside Registration. However, it may be possible for individuals to obtain cheaper rates if bookings are made shortly before the Conference, either via agencies on the Internet or direct to a hotel.
